The name of the pub we are building is The Pilcrow. Therefore our mark is a pilcrow.
Way back in Medieval times the pilcrow was everywhere. It was hand-drawn ornately in illuminated manuscripts, to signify the end of one thought and the beginning of the next.
It is still used today, but as a hidden character, only seen by publishers, proof readers and type nerds.
Every part of the pub that is built by hand will carry a pilcrow as a nod to the hidden character in every square inch.
Once the build is complete the marks will punctuate the pub, the end of one story and the start of the next.
Our pilcrow was beautifully designed up by Dave at Studio DBD. He is sort of a genius.
