Jazz Club takes leave of its Leeds home to make a special trip across the Pennines to Manchester, and The Pilcrow, for a Sunday afternoon session.
JC residents, Barry’s Here and Mark Hepworth, will be joined by The Johnny Hunter Trio, a salty crew of musicians if ever there was one.
What a better way to smooth out those weekend wrinkles other than getting nine or ten good ales in you and letting the Jazz Club family do the rest? Maybe a packet of crisps as well, but that’s a personal choice.
If you are on the fence and want an idea of the of music to expect then you could check out some of the recent Jazz Club radio shows.
The Johnny Hunter Trio
Johnny Hunter (drums) - One of the most sought-after percussionists of his generation, Johnny performs with dozens of groups across the UK. Johnny"admirably reflects the independent creativity of the new Manchester scene" (The Guardian).

Seth Bennett (double bass) - Winner of the 2008 Parliamentary Jazz Award with IDST, Seth is "one of the country’s most virtuosic and restlessly innovative musicians." (The Telegraph).
